Resident Evil Village Is Apparently Releasing Next Year And Features A Witch

It’s been leak galore for the last few Resident Evil games and it looks to be the same for Resident Evil 8. According to Biohazard Declassified The game will apparently be known as Resident Evil Village (as in VIII for eight).

The game will apparently release in early 2021 (which would make sense given the last three RE games have all released in Q1), and will take place in Europe. Unlike Resident Evil 2/3 Remakes, the game will be in first-person similar to Resident evil 7. The game will be a departure from the series, featuring a witch that stalks the player. It’s also set to focus a lot on hallucinations and other supernatural beings.

The story is set to feature Chris Redfield and in terms of the inventory, it’s set to be closer to that of Resident Evil 4 (so you can fit more in your inventory than RE2/3 Remake).

These leaks have also been corroborated by Dusk Golem, who leaked several details about Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 before they were announced.

Information about Resident Evil 8 also started leaking earlier in the year. Information came out that the game would have a “clever name” and that it would start in a village. Both of these things definitely match up with what is being reported now.
