After announcing that the PS5 games reveal event would take place on Friday, June 5th before subsequently delaying it (due to the Black Lives Matter protests and wanting to give more important voices the change to be heard), Sony has now announced that the event will take place this coming Friday (June 12th) at 6am AEST.
The event is still being called ‘The Future of Gaming’ and Sony says it’ll last a bit more than an hour and showcase the games coming to PS5. Sony says the games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe, with both bigger and smaller studios taking the spotlight.
Sony has now said though that the pre-taped program will be broadcast at 1080p at 30FPS. This is due to the fact that the show’s production process took place with many of the team and developers working from home. Sony has said that obviously these games will look better on PS5 with a 4K TV.
