Hyper Scape Is A Free To Play Battle Royale From Ubisoft Coming To PC, PS4 And Xbox One

After leaks earlier this week, Ubisoft has lifted the lid off Hyper Scape which is a free-to-play battle royale game that’s coming to PC, PS4 And Xbox One this year.

The game is set in a virtual world called Neo Arcadia and has a number of key differences from other battle royale games. The game’s circle is called ‘the Decay’ which means that the world essentially disappears around you as it grows smaller and smaller.

The game has unique characters, but these characters don’t have abilities. Ubisoft Montreal has put hacks around the world which any player can pick up and you can also fuse guns that you pickup to create more powerful guns.

The main mode is called Crown Rush and sees 32 squads of three players go at it. Another key difference is fact that when the entire world is decayed, and you can pickup the Crown, which you’re then forced to defend, to pickup the win. You can win the traditional way by just killing off your opponents as well.

When you die, you turn into an Echo. You can then ping other players around the map until you’re revived from a Restore Point.

Another big deal is the game’s Twitch integration. It’s called CrownCast which basically means that viewers of Twitch streams can change the whole flow of the match. Viewers can vote on things like lowering the gravity across the map or providing infinite ammo for a short portion of time to all players. Viewers can also progress their battle pass just by tuning into matches and settings certain events into motion.

The game is getting a technical test on PC in the next few weeks, but unfortunately that won’t be coming to Australia. A full release is expected on PC, PS4 and Xbox One at some point this year.
