We know that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a standalone adventure for PS5, but it looks as though the game will come with a full remaster of the original Spider-Man.
In the latest issue of Game Informer (as spotted by Reddit user 77good123), the feature says: “Miles Morales isn’t a traditional sequel, since it comes bundled with a remastered version of Insomniac’s Spider-Man that takes full advantage of the PS5 hardware,” it reads.
Sony hasn’t said much about Spider-Man: Miles Morales outside of the announcement at the PS5 event and the subsequent clarification that the game is a standalone adventure in the same light as Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. We know that it’s releasing this holiday for PS5.
We gave the original Spider-Man a 10/10 and said: It’s hard to fault Marvel’s Spider-Man as Insomniac has taken their game to the next level. As a developer, they have gone from strength to strength and Spider-Man is a culmination of their past hits. There’s a stunning verticality that compliments the game’s watertight mechanics and, despite the literal boundaries, still makes the city seem boundless. If you’re a Marvel die-hard, there’s enough fanfare here to sink a ship as Spider-Man emerges as the new gold standard. Spider-Man is, without question, the best superhero game ever.
