Earlier tonight we wrote about the imminent release of PS4 Update 8.00. It’s now dropped and several people are reporting issues with accessing friends list, adding or joining parties and other online services. The error code for almost everyone seems to be PS4 error WS 44369-6 or WS 36770-3. It’s quite possible that the update has pushed out ahead of Sony’s servers making the necessary update.
One reader wrote on our post: “There seems to an issue where friends list and user services is broken after the 8.00 update”. Another wrote: “After I updated, I can’t see my friends list or start a party”.
We’re keeping an eye on it and will let you know once there’s a fix.
