PS5 And Xbox Series X Stock Shortages Will Continue Until The Second Half Of 2021 At The Earliest

AMD CEO Lisa Su has suggested that we can expect PS5/Xbox Series X stock shortages to last until at least the second half of 2021.

As reported by Tom’s Hardware, the announcement that CPU and GPU shortages would continue to be a problem due to the pandemic and US-China trade war was made on AMD’s earnings call earlier this morning.

This is expected to effect consoles such as the PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S as well as the low end PC market.

This shortage is expected to ease in mid 2021 when it’s expected that added production capacity comes online, which will allow Sony and Microsoft to create more consoles.

It goes without saying that as far as AMD’s figures go, they’re looking pretty good at the moment with them selling every chip that they’ve able to create.
