Diablo II Resurrected

Diablo 2: Resurrected Is Coming To Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC & Current-Gen Consoles This Year

It’s been rumoured since earlier this year but Activision has announced Diablo 2: Resurrected, a Diablo 2 Remaster coming to all platforms later this year. The game will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch in 2021. It’ll have full cross-progression, but not cross-play and will include co-op for up to eight players.

Diablo 2: Resurrected takes the graphics from the original game and layers full 3D rendering on top with dynamic lighting, new animations as well as spell effects. You’re also able to switch between the new 4K graphics and the original graphics on the fly.

All of the character classes from both the original game and the Lord of Destruction expansion will be there, and Blizzard hasn’t touched much of the gameplay, meaning it’ll feel exactly how it did in the early 2000s.

As it was rumoured earlier this year, the game is in development by Vicarious Visions which last worked on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
