The game marks a return for the long-running wrestling game series which took a year-long hiatus after the negative reception to WWE 2K20, which became infamous for its bugs.
The teaser focuses on Rey Mysterio Jr. as it cuts between his real-life and rendered models, before showing a bit of gameplay footage of the storied luchador performing his signature move on Cesaro.
The game’s tagline “It Hits Different” promises a step forward for the franchise and we’re certainly hopeful the series finds its feet again after the debacle that was WWE 2K20.
More info, including the game’s release date, is said to be coming soon.
