The Creator Of Stardew Valley Has Announced A New Game About Ghosts And Chocolate

ConcernedApe, the solo developer behind the beloved Stardew Valley, has announced his new project, a game about opening a chocolate shop with the help of… ghosts?

The aptly-titled ConcernedApe’s Haunted Chocolatier is another top-down pixel art RPG in the vein of Stardew that ditches farming for chocolate-making. The game looks to have more action RPG-style elements from its debut trailer, with the character fighting creatures out in a field to seemingly collect ingredients to bring to the chocolatier.

The developer, once again working alone on this game, says in his first blog post on the title’s official website:

“In Stardew Valley, the focus was more humble: living off the land, growing food, and connecting to the people and nature around you. However, with my next game, I wanted to explore more fantastical possibilities… experiences that take you beyond the ordinary. That’s where magical haunted ghost chocolate comes in.”

So far there’s no information on a potential release date, but the game is apparently still quite early in development. Check out the trailer below:
