Cricket 22 Has Been Delayed As Tim Paine Is Removed From The Cover

Following Australian cricket captain Tim Paine announcing that he will be stepping down from the role, Big Ant has now announced last minute changes to Cricket 22.

The game was originally set to release this Friday, November 26th, but will now release December 2nd in stores according to a JB Hi-Fi listing.

In a statement provided to 9news, Big Ant CEO confirmed that last minute changes were underway.

“As Tim has resigned his captaincy, the Cricket 22 cover will be changed on all digital storefronts.” said Symons to 9news.

According to the article, those that have the physical game will be provided a print out to change the cover themselves at home.

“For those that have purchased a retail version of Cricket 22, we will be providing a digital copy of the new cover, enabling them to print a new replacement cover at home if they wish,” Symons said in an interview with 9news.
