Final Fantasy XV Has Reached A Milestone Of 10 Million Copies Sold

A crowning achievement

Square Enix has taken to Twitter via the official Japanese Final Fantasy XV account to celebrate a milestone of 10 million copies of the game sold worldwide since its launch in November 2016.

Roughly auto-translated, the message reads “Final Fantasy XV has achieved cumulative worldwide sales of 10 million units! Thank you for your support! Thank you for your continued support #FF15.”

Those numbers, which are spread across both physical and digital sales of the original PS4/Xbox One release as well as the later-repackaged Royal Edition and PC release, put Final Fantasy XV among some of the best-selling titles in the series including Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X.

Currently, Square Enix is gearing up to release Final Fantasy XVI. Though we’re still yet to hear of a release date or window for the latest mainline entry, a trailer is supposedly impending and clothing megabrand Uniqlo is launching a Final Fantasy-themed t-shirt range in Australia next month.
