dead island 2 leak

Dead Island 2’s Release Date & A Heap Of Info Have Leaked Ahead Of Its Rumoured Re-Reveal

More like Alive Island, am I right??

Amazon has gone on a leak frenzy this morning. After already inadvertently revealing the title and release date of the new Tales From the Borderlands, it’s also dropped a Dead Island 2 bombshell.

Yep, the game that most people would have considered vapourware by this stage has finally re-surfaced and is gearing up for a release very soon.

The listing (which is still up at time of writing) has revealed that Deep Silver’s long-gestating Dead Island 2 is coming on February 3, 2023 to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Presumably PC as well, though Amazon doesn’t have a physical PC SKU listed.

The product description reveals some brand-new details around the game as well, which you can read below:

  • Dead Island 2 takes players across the most iconic locations of the City of Angels, now stained with horror, in an exciting pulp journey from the verdant suburbia of Beverly Hills to the quirky promenade of Venice Beach
  • Combat delivers the most intense, visceral and gory first person experience possible, with plenty of weapons and tactical (and brutal) options to chew your way through the zombie horde
  • There are 6 characters to choose from, each with their own unique personality and dialogues – You can fully customize the abilities of each Slayer, with our brand-new skill system allowing you to re-spec instantly and try out the craziest builds.
  • Our LA is crawling with zombies that look & react realistically – These mutated wretches are the reanimated, rotten heart of Dead Island 2 with dozens of distinct zombie types, each with their own mutations, attacks & hundreds of LA-themed variants
  • Day 1 Edition includes the Memories of Banoi Pack – Banoi War Club, Memories of Banoi Baseball Bat, Weapon Perk – balanced, Personal space skill card

Given we’re only a few days before Gamescom, we’d expect that we might see Dead Island 2 fully re-revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live, which takes place on Wednesday morning at 4am AEST. You can find all the in for that HERE.
