It’s the middle of the month, which means it’s time for the new titles in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe tiers to drop for subscribers. This month’s list is a nicely varied mix, bringing some older Ubisoft big hitters as well as the excellent Deathloop with its new Golden Loop update.
If you’re after some recommendations, aside from Deathloop I would heavily suggest checking out Spiritfarer and Chicory, two recent-ish indie darlings that everyone should play, as well as Rayman Legends which is easily one of the greatest 2D platformers of all time.
PS+ Deluxe members are still getting the short end of the stick just a little bit with a paltry three Classics games, given we don’t have access to the PS3 releases that other regions get. Still, the good news is that the Syphon Filter 2 PS1 classic that’s landed is the first game introduced with the new option to play in the NTSC/60Hz mode. You can read up on that here.
As a reminder, the games in this month’s line-up across all three tiers are:
SEPTEMBER’S PLAYSTATION PLUS ESSENTIAL GAMES

- Granblue Fantasy Versus (PS4)
- TOEM (PS5)
