Find Out Why You Should Be Paying Attention To The Chant In This New Preview Accolades Trailer

Don't let this one fly under your radar!

The Chant was one of the best games we saw (and played) at Gamescom in August and the game, developed by brand-new Vancouver studio Brass Token, is finally nearing its November 3rd release.

To remind people that this is one game you should be paying attention to among a stacked holiday release schedule, Brass Token and publisher Prime Matter have released a new trailer featuring glimpses at the game as well as quotes and accolades from media all over the world who went hands-on with it at Gamescom. And yes, that includes us!

Creative Director, Mike Skupa, says of the post-Gamescom reception, “It’s been inspiring to hear people’s impressions after playing The Chant. Seeing fans of the genre reference inspirations from classic survival horror games to weird fiction and beyond reminds us why we created this game in the first place”.

We recently spoke to Mike about the experience of putting together a brand-new horror IP as a small team, and you can read that right here.

Take a look at the preview accolades trailer for The Chant below:

The Chant is a single-player, third person horror action-adventure game set on a remote island spiritual retreat. A peaceful weekend soon turns to dread after a group chant opens The Gloom, a psychedelic dimension of terror that feeds off negative energy. Interact with a recurring cast of characters, untangle the complex history of the island, and witness terrifying revelations about the cosmos. Only you can fight off the creatures, reason with the survivors, and unravel the legacy of a cult from the 1970s to reverse the ritual.

The Chant is due to release on November 3rd for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

A special digital pre-order bonus will grant players a 1970s-themed in-game outfit and VFX filter mode. You can find out more at thechant.com.
