The newest legend to be gracing the Apex Legends roster has been revealed alongside some new details on Eclipse, the game’s 15th season.
Catalyst, real name Tressa Smith, is introduced via a lengthy and gorgeous cinematic detailing her backstory and revealing that she’s the series’ first transgender hero. The official webpage for the new season describes her as an “experienced terraformer and defensive conjurer [who] uses her remarkable control of ferrofluid to manipulate the battlefield.”
Catalyst is voiced by Meli Grant, and you can see her reveal cinematic below, which shows Tressa and her friend Margo embroiled in some light eco-terrorism against Hammond Robotics:
Season 15 of Apex Legends will also introduce a new map, long-rumoured to be called Divided Moon (a fact that’s somewhat corroborated in the above video), as well as the ability for players to gift cosmetic items to their friends. You can check out more detail on the official Apex Legends website.
