PlayStation has now officially confirmed when Aussies will be able to pre-order PlayStation’s new DualSense Edge Pro controller ahead of its release on January 26th.
WHEN DO DUALSENSE EDGE PRE-ORDERS GO LIVE?
Pre-orders for the new DualSense Edge controller will go live in Australia on Tuesday, October 25th at 10:00 am AEDT.
EB Games has already confirmed that they will have pre-orders live at 10:00am tomorrow and we’d expect Amazon and JB Hi-Fi to also be live at 10:00am going off previous drops of these timed PlayStation releases.
We still don’t have an Australian price for the DualSense Edge but given it cost $200 USD, we’d expect it to be somewhere between $320-$350 AUD. You’ll be able to buy new analogue stick modules for $19.99 USD as well (~$30 AUD).
The DualSense Edge is PlayStation’s first attempt at a Pro controller (outside of the back button attachment for PS4 that came and went very quickly).
The controller will have customisable controls, swappable stick caps, replacement stick modules, interchangable back buttons, customisable button mapping, adjustable trigger stops and dead zones, tunable stick sensitivity and dead zones as well as a USB braided cable with lockable mechanic and quick swap control profiles and settings. You’ll also be able to chance the audio on the fly by holding down one of the new Fn buttons down and using the D-Pad.
Here’s what’s included in the box:
DualSense Edge wireless controller
USB braided cable
2 Standard caps
2 High dome caps
2 Low dome caps
2 Half dome back buttons
2 Lever back buttons
We’ll keep you posted when pre-orders actually go live and obviously be following our Twitter account as well as our PS5 Facebook group for the fastest updates.
