Bungie Apparently Has Numerous Unannounced Projects In The Works With PlayStation

Alongside more Destiny, obviously.

Bungie’s Senior Design Lead, Tom Farnsworth, took to Twitter today to celebrate 11 years at Bungie and 25+ releases of the studio’s mammoth online shooter, Destiny.

In the tweet, Farnsworth highlights Bungie’s move from boxed releases to live service games, notably one of the motivators for PlayStation to have acquired the developer  for $3.6 billion USD last year.

Most interesting though, is the follow-up tweet that mentions Bungie is working on “a number of unannounced projects” with Sony, which is somewhat new information given the studio has been hard at work on its Destiny IP for the better part of eight years. The next big expansion, Destiny 2: Lightfall, is set to release on February 28th with another, titled The Final Shape, slated for 2024.

Sony said in a financial statement last year that it plans to have 12 live service titles in the market by 2026, so it’ll be interesting to see how many of these come out of Bungie, if any.
