Update: Surprise! The Resident Evil 4 demo is indeed landing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC today.
Notably, the “Chainsaw Demo” for the remake of RE4 won’t impose a time limit on players. It’ll take place at the beginning of the game.
You’ll be able to grab it here when it goes live:
It looks like a Twitch ad for Resident Evil 4 has accidentally jumped the gun on the release of the game’s demo.
New ads for the game have begun appearing today that flag the demo, which was announced a couple of weeks ago, as being “available now” despite that not yet being the case.
With the arrival of the Capcom Spotlight Showcase at 9.30AM AEDT tomorrow morning, the consensus is that we’ll see the demo drop during or soon after the presentation – something we’d predicted would happen.
Twitch is rolling ads for a Resident Evil 4 remake demo "available now," expected to release after the Capcom Spotlight (scheduled for March 9th, 2:30 PM PT). https://t.co/7sf87JLljk
