Gorgeous Indie Platformer After Us Has A Release Date And New Gameplay Trailer

Featuring giant ghost sausage.

After Us, an artistic indie platformer set on a surrealistic, far future version of Earth has been given a release date and is set to launch on May 23rd for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Alongside the date, a brand-new gameplay trailer has arrived that paints this as something of a visual spectacle with a diverse range of environments and ideas, and just the right amount of strange and surreal to have really grabbed my attention. It comes from Barcelona-based developer Piccolo and is being published by Private Division, the Take-Two Interactive publishing label that also brought us The Outer Worlds, Kerbal Space Program and OlliOlli World.

The game will feature a mix of platforming, puzzles and combat in a world split into 10 different biomes with their own gameplay ideas and aesthetics, all wrapped up in the story of a nymph exploring a version of Earth that’s far removed from the one we know.
