Gran Turismo 7’s latest update is out today, bringing the game up to Version 1.31 and adding a smattering of new content as well as support for up to 120fps on PlayStation 5.
Announced via the PlayStation Blog, the update includes five new cars, two new track layouts to Nurburgring, and new cherry blossom-themed content for the Scapes mode on top of adding an unlocked framerate option for displays supporting 120Hz VRR. A most recent 1.29 update for the game added a massive new feature in support for the PlayStation VR2, but 120Hz VRR is sure to be just as exciting to a portion of players, giving those playing on HDMI 2.1-compatible screens access to an unlocked framerate with no screen tearing.
According to patch notes uncovered by GTPlanet, there are also a whole lot of gameplay and physics changes being implemented under the hood, which you can read about in detail here. This reportedly includes things like updates to suspension physics, a more stable tire model, aerodynamics changes, adjustments to individual performance, controller steering algorithm improvements and more.
There are also changes made to how driver assists work, online lobby adjustments, price changes for legendary cars, menu and mode changes and heap more that players are bound to discover over the next few days after the patch rolls out.
There’s even a shiny new trailer for the Gran Turismo 7 Version 1.31 update:
The 1.31 update for Gran Turismo 7 arrives on March 30th at 4PM AEDT.
