Update: Oxenfree II: Lost Signals’ release date has been officially revealed this time and, surprise surprise, it lines up exactly with that was accidentally spilled by the PlayStation Store earlier this month (as per the below story).
The release date was unveiled during today’s Indie World Nintendo Direct, with Oxenfree II coming to Switch, PS5, PS4, PC and Netflix. Check out the tantalising, mystery-teasing Official Date Announce trailer below:
Original Story: After multiple delays it seems that the release date for Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved 2016 indie narrative adventure, has been leaked by a backend listing on the PlayStation Store.
Originally slated to release in 2021, the game was then pushed back to 2022 before being delayed once again to a vague “2023” window. It looks like things are finally starting to take shape though, with the leaked release date of July 12th, 2023 coming from the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account as well as an accidental (and now removed) trailer launch on YouTube.
Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is pegged as “the mind-bending follow-up to the critically-acclaimed narrative adventure game Oxenfree from Night School Studio. Play it as a standalone story or dive deeper by playing the original – it’s up to you. As you play, you’ll shape every step of the story through your choices. How you choose to deal with the supernatural events at hand will forever alter the future.”
