LEGO 2K Drive’s Post-Launch Season Passes Won’t Have Time Limits

Put it on cruise control.

2K and LEGO Group have revealed the post-launch content plans for Visual Concepts’ upcoming open world driving adventure, LEGO 2K Drive.

The game, like many others, will be supported through its lifecycle after launch by a season pass system that’ll see new content regularly dropped into the game to be earned by players through new challenges. The first-year plan includes four seasons in total, each giving out a set of rewards to players for free while also offering “Premium Drive Pass Rewards” for those that want to spend a bit of extra cash, either on each season individually or as a total “Year 1 Drive Pass.”

But while the idea of season passes might automatically get the heckles up on anyone who’s time poor and loathes the idea of having to complete 100 levels of progression every three months, LEGO 2K Drive’s commitment to letting players enjoy the game however they want continues into the post-launch content structure. Rather than expire when a new season launches, the game’s four first-year passes will remain available to complete at players’ own pace, including any back-catalogue Premium rewards if players decide to upgrade to the Premium Drive Pass at any point.
