SEGA held a Sonic Central showcase over the weekend, dropping new trailers and some small bits of new Sonic the Hedgehog-related info in a short, straightforward presentation. Alongside reveals of some new Sonic the Hedgehog and LEGO collaborations, SEGA also unveiled a brand-new update for last year’s successful Sonic Frontiers that’s out right now and adds some exciting new content and even a New Game+ mode for free, all to celebrate the spiky hero’s birthday.
The Sonic’s Birthday Bash Update introduces a New Game+ mode for those who’ve finished Sonic’s latest 3D adventure that carries across unlocked stats and skills, as well as new types of Koco to find, new challenges in the open world and even the introduction of Sonic’s iconic Spin Dash as a new move.
