Skybound Games and developer Mega Cat Studios have made the eleventh-hour announcement that their long-anticipated wrasslin’ RPG, WrestleQuest, will be delayed from its original release date of August 8th (ie, today) until August 22nd on all platforms, following the late discovery of an issue that could’ve had a massive effect on players’ progress.
The full statement on the delay from the studio reads:
“When performing final checks on one of our launch platforms, we discovered it was possible for players to lose their save game progress when playing WrestleQuest on multiple different devices. Because this is a game filled with hours of content and player progress is so important, we could never body slam our fans like that.
“We are truly proud of this game and believe that we have a product that delivers on all counts. We’re blown away by the support we’ve seen from players excited for WrestleQuest and we can’t wait to share the finished game with everyone on August 22nd”
WrestleQuest will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile device (via Netflix) on that new August 22nd release date. You can download and play a demo on Steam right now.
