One neat surprise announced during this morning’s Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 showcase was Little Nightmares III. Surprisingly not in development at its original developer, Tarsier Studios, the third entry in the franchise is coming from none other than Supermassive Games (Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures).
Also new to the series is full co-op support with its protagonists Low and Alone, though the game will still be entirely playable in single player with AI taking up the companion role.
Publisher Bandai Namco also revealed that the Little Nightmares franchise is getting its own podcast, titled The Sounds of Nightmares, with the first two of six episodes available right now.
Little Nightmares III is slated to launch next year for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Check out the announcement trailer for the game below:
