A TMNT: Mutant Mayhem Video Game Is Coming And It’s Set After The Film

Cowabunga!

Outright Games, the folks behind all of your favourite animated film and TV tie-in games like My Friend Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol World and Baby Shark: Swing & Swim Party have revealed a brand-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game based on the just-released animated movie, Mutant Mayhem (which is really good, by the way).

The game will be set in the world of the Paramount film but will take place after the events there as opposed to recreating the same story in game form, and will take inspiration from the movie’s distinct, painterly visual style.

“Nickelodeon is one of our longest standing licensing collaborators and we’re overjoyed to have the opportunity to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to life in a brand new and original video game,” Outright Games’ COO Stephanie Malham said in a press release. “This is one of the most enduring and beloved franchises in the world and we’re beyond excited to use our expertise to expand the Turtles’ global reach even further through the world of video games.”

Paramount’s senior VP of games and emerging media Doug Rosen also added, :It’s exciting to launch our first console game set in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem universe, especially as the franchise only continues to grow. The vibrancy of this new film’s animation lends itself perfectly to video games, and we can’t wait for everyone to play it.”

We don’t have a release date or any footage of the game to go off of yet, but it’s currently slated to launch next year for consoles and PC.
