Along with the news that the game has now cleared over 1.3 million units sold, a Game Trial for Alan Wake 2 is now available for those PS5 players out there who are on a PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription and are yet to check out the game for themselves.
Available now, the Alan Wake 2 Game Trial will allow PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscribers to download the full game to their PS5 console and play for up to 2.5 hours before deciding whether or not they wish to purchase the full thing. If purchased, all of the save data and unlocked trophies from the trial will carry over to the full game without the need to re-download or update anything.

Brodie gave Alan Wake 2 a huge 9.5/10 in his review, and wrote, “While I’m sure there were countless drafts and edits throughout the journey to this point, this Alan Wake II is proof that great things come to those who wait. Like breaking through after a thirteen year stretch of writer’s block, I can only imagine the sense of relief in letting this monster of a game loose.”
Multiple updates have been released for the game since launch, adding things like a New Game Plus mode with extra story content, and two DLC expansions are on the way this year.
