Bethesda and Tango Gameworks’ fantastic 2023 surprise, Hi-Fi RUSH, has finally landed on PlayStation 5 after it was revealed earlier this year that it would be breaking free of its Xbox and PC shackles along with three other titles in the Xbox stable.
The game, which shadow dropped during an Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct in January last year and went on to receive huge critical and player acclaim, is a super-stylised action game with rhythm elements where players are rewarded for keeping on beat during combat and platforming. It’s undoubtedly one of the most refreshing “AAA” experiences of the last couple of years and so its wider availability on a new platform will hopefully see that extended to even more players than ever.
On PS5, the game will contain all of the up-to-date content added since the Xbox and PC version launched, which includes the Arcade Challenge! Update! which adds two new challenge modes to the game in BPM Rush! and Power Up! The PS5 version also includes an exclusive t-shirt design for Chai to wear which is a not-so-subtle nod to a certain Final Fantasy entry.

Hi-Fi RUSH is currently a digital-only release on PS5 with physical versions planned for both PS5 and Xbox Series X thanks to Limited Run at a later date, and comes in two different digital versions. Here’s what’s in each:
