Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition’s PC Release Times Have Been Detailed With Pre-Load Available Now

Time to get pre(historic)loading.

Update: PC port developer Nixxes has now published a global rollout map for the PC release of Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition, giving eager players a look at when they can start playing the game.

Pre-load is also available now, though the studio notes that the decryption process involved in booting up a pre-loaded version of the game is lengthy enough that – for those with superfast internet connections – it could very well be faster to download and install once the game is live.

For Aussies, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition’s PC version will unlock at 2AM AEDT on Friday, March 22nd:

PlayStation and PC port developer Nixxes Software have revealed the level of spec your rig will need to comfortably run the upcoming PC release of Horizon Forbidden West, Guerrilla’s excellent open-world sequel, when it launches on March 22nd.

The good news is, the game seems in line with Nixxes’ previous work in being very scalable to even fairly modest hardware, including portable devices, while also allowing for those with top-notch gear to really push the game to its limits.

You can see the full list of requirements at each level in the table below:

Nixxes says that the game on PC will feature individual quality settings for textures, level of detail, shadows, water, terrain and more as well as options to adjust the field of view and visual effects like motion blur and film grain and full screen effects like radial blur, lens flares, bloom and vignette.

The Complete Edition of Horizon: Forbidden West on PC includes the full game and Burning Shores expansion, along with two outfit packs, a digital soundtrack and comic and some more in-game goodies. Pre-purchases will also grant access to the Blacktide Dye outfit and Blacktide Sharpshot bow:

We gave the PlayStation version of the base game a huge 10/10 in our review, and scored the Burning Shores expansion a respectable 8/10 when it first launched on PS5.
