PlayStation dropped a new 15 minute gameplay trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake today showing off the infamous Flesh Lip boss battle and it shows how far the game has come.
This boss battle in the original game was quite dark and mysterious in the sense that you didn’t get an idea for exactly what you were fighting, but the new lighting in the remake gives you a better visual of exactly what Flesh Lip looks like.
This is just one of the examples that we’ve seen that update a core moment from the game, with the original battle having three monsters, with this new one focusing on one enemy with multiple phases. It shows how Bloober hasn’t just given the game a fresh lick of paint, but actually updated the overall design of certain elements.
Obviously, the gameplay footage shows off the updated gameplay as well which includes over the shoulder shooting mechanics as well as a camera that you can control, similar to what we saw in the Resident Evil remakes.
