ORIGINAL STORY: The PlayStation Network appears to have been down for most of this morning, with users reporting an issue starting at 10am and it still being down at the time of writing. It’s been about 6 months since there was a major outage, and this one looks to be affecting all users.
Hey @PressStartAU @shannongrixti any updates on why PSN is down in Australia? It says it’s up PSN Service Status via in console but it’s clearly not. #PSN #PS5 #PlayStation #PlayStation5 pic.twitter.com/eue7lcfwOx

On the PlayStation Network website, Account Management, PlayStation Store and Gaming and Social everything appears to be all systems go, but users worldwide are reporting that they are unable to get onto the PSN.
Looking at Down Detector, over 3000 Australians have reported issues with PlayStation Network, with that number only rising instead of going back down how it normally would for a short outage.
It’s unclear what’s causing the issue, but people are currently unable to play online as well as download anything as well as access account information.
At the time of writing, PlayStation hasn’t acknowledged PSN being down, but we’ll keep you posted if there’s anything major that changes or pops up.
