PlayStation has been slowly introducing backgrounds through the Welcome Hub, and after its initial drop which included one animated game background for Astro Bot, it seems like they’re finally rolling more out to some users.
Whilst they haven’t updated on my console yet, there’s custom animated backgrounds being added gradually for PS5 users for the below games:
- Days Gone
- Demon’s Souls
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Ghost of Yotei
- God of War Ragnarok
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Horizon Call of the Mountain
- LEGO Horizon Adventures
- Ratchet and Clank Drift Apart
- Rise of the Ronin
- Stellar Blade
- MLB
We’ll keep you posted on when these seem to roll out for all users, but for now it seems like just checking your console every now and then is the only way to see if they’ve been added, and there’s no signs of the 30th anniversary themes that were taken away yet either.
