Fresh on the heels of announcing a price hike for PlayStation Plus in Australia, Sony has listed all of the games that’ll be leaving their PlayStation Plus subscription service in May, and, surprisingly, it includes a few first-party titles.
Among the twenty games are Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Infamous: Second Son, all products of PlayStation-owned studios, which makes this a confusing move on several fronts.
PlayStation’s biggest competitor in terms of this service, Game Pass, practically never pulls first-party titles from its roster, and PlayStation Plus is practically the only means of playing the Resistance games on modern hardware.
The complete list of games leaving PlayStation Plus is:
- Batman Arkham Knight
- Before Your Eyes
- Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
- Enter the Gungeon
- Ghost
- Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord Frozen Empire
- Ghostrunner
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Infamous Second Son
- Journey to the Savage Planet
- Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2
- Moto GP24
- Payday 2 Crimewave Edition
- Portal Knights
- Resistance 2
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Stranded Alien Dawn
- Synth Riders
- The Lego Movie 2 Video Game
- The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack
- The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners
- The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2
- Walkabout Mini Golf
One might hope that the titles being pulled from the service might signal looming remasters, however, that’s likely a pipe dream.
