Death Stranding 2 Australian Animals

Here’s All The Australian Animals We’ve Found In Death Stranding 2 So Far

So good.

We were all pretty blown away when we found out ahead of time that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was going to be primarily set in Australia and after getting through the game, the Australian wildlife featured in the game is well beyond what we ever could have expected.

As you can see in the gameplay footage below, there’s pretty much every Aussie animal that you can think of including Koalas,Kangaroos, Echidnas, Bilbys, Quokkas, Emus, Tasmanian Devils, Wombats and even Lyrebirds. Seeing a kangaroo hop by, or a Koala up in a tree never gets old, and it goes so much further than seeing them in the wild.

THE AUSSIE ANIMALS FEATURED IN DEATH STRANDING 2

  • Bilby
  • Echidna
  • Emu
  • Kangaroo
  • Koala
  • Lyrebird
  • Platypus
  • Quokka
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • Wombat

We also believe that there are variants of some of the animals as well, so it’ll be interesting to see if any other rare Aussie animals pop-up (and obviously let us know if they do).

You can capture all of the Australian animals in cargo, and again it’s surreal seeing Sam wrestle with a kangaroo or emu before putting it into his cargo, but you can also visit these animals in a sanctuary where you’ll hear little facts about the animals and interact with them in a more civilised manner.

Whilst not everything about Death Stranding 2’s Australia is true-to-life, the animals, how they move and interact feel exactly what we know and love about each of them, and again it’s just an unmissable experience to see such iconic Australian animals throughout such a prominent AAA game.

We gave Death Stranding 2 a 10/10 in our review, for reasons much more prominent than the Aussie creatures. We said: “Death Stranding 2: On The Beach does everything it can to eclipse the original in practically every way, improving on the systems surrounding the already solid core of the original. The result is a livelier world to explore, an engaging story to experience and an overall much better paced adventure through Australia that I struggled to put down. It’s well worth your time and more respectful of it too.”

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is available today (for early access digital deluxe/collector’s edition owners) and on June 26th for standard edition. The cheapest price is $99 with free shipping on Amazon.
