The Ghost of Yotei State of Play took place this morning and PlayStation announced its largest PS5 accessory line-up for any game so far.
The game is getting two PS5 console bundles (both Slim disc editions) each with custom faceplates, a digital copy of the game and a custom DualSense controller, but for those that already have the console, they’re releasing faceplates for the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro (both the gold version) as well as both DualSense controllers separately.
There’s two versions of the faceplates and controllers (black and gold), with gold design designed to look like the Japanese art form, kintsugi which is a traditional process to repair broken ceramics with lacquer and gold.
The black design is inspired by another traditional art form, Sumi-E which uses black ink on paintings and has more more thicker lines and brush strokes.
The two controller designs also follow these same design principles and have the new character Atsu on the DualSense touchpad.
On the back of both faceplates and the DualSense controller is also a a red maker’s seal which is a nice touch.
We’re awaiting final confirmation on exactly what we’re getting in Australia, but and pre-order information is yet to be determined, but obviously we’ll keep you posted as soon as I know.
