Sonos had announced The Sonos Beam Gen 2. On the outside, the main difference is a brand new design which is more in-line with the Sonoc Arc, featuring a beautiful grille.
The best new feature is on the inside though. The new Sonoc Beam has Dolby Atmos support. The new Beam features a faster CPU as well as five speaker arrays instead of the three that were found in the previous model. These two new arrays are dedicated to surround and height information, which will delivery what is necessary for Dolby Atmos.
The Sonos Beam 2 will come in Black and White and will be available on October 5th for $699 AUD. You can pre-order it right HERE.
Sonos has also announced that support for Amazon Music Ultra high definition audio as well as Dolby Atmos Music will hit a number of Sonos products including the Gen 2 Sonos Beam.
