EA held its EA Play Live event overnight and whilst it didn’t have a bunch of big announcements, it did have Dead Space and a couple of other things worth keeping an eye on. Here’s everything that was announced.

ALL OF THE EA PLAY LIVE 2021 ANNOUNCEMENTS

DEAD SPACE IS BACK

It’s finally happening. The original Dead Space is being remade from the ground up for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will have improved gameplay mechanics, an improved story and improved characters.

GRID LEGENDS IS CODEMASTERS NEW GAME

Codemasters unveiled its first game since being acquired by EA. It’s called GRID Legends and it’s releasing in 2022.

BATTLEFIELD PORTAL WILL BRING ICONIC MAPS TO BATTLEFIELD 2042

Battlefield Portal is a new sandbox Battlefield mode, but more important it’s bringing six iconic maps from Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 2042 and they’re built from the ground up and look absolutely gorgeous.

APEX LEGENDS EMERGENCE BRINGS A BLOODHOUND CLONE

Apex Legends Emergence will bring a new legend in Seer who is similar to Bloodhound in the sense that he can closely track opponents. A ranked mode is also coming to Arenas so get practising. We’ll get our first look at gameplay on July 26th before it releases in early August.

EA ORIGINALS TITLE LOST IN RANDOM GOT A RELEASE DATE

Lost on Random by Zoink Games which is the next EA Original title got a confirmed release date of September 10th for consoles and PC.

KNOCKOUT CITY SEASON 2 IS ON THE WAY

The surprise hit Knockout City 2 is getting a new map, gear, dodgeball and playlists on July 27th. The new season is called Fight At The Movies and it looks to parody King Kong.

THE SIMS 4 COTTAGE LIVING EXPANSION

If you’re still playing The Sims then you’re in luck because the Cottage living expansion will let you build a cosy little home of your own in the game.
