EA Play Subscriptions Just Got A Price Increase

EA has revealed that it’s raised the prices of its EA Play subscription, a membership that gives players access to a library of EA-published titles across PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The price increase is in effect now across the majority of markets, including here in Australia.

Users were informed via an email overnight, which confirms that the changes will take place for new members right now, while for existing subscribers it’ll change at the next renewal date that occurs on or after June 11th, 2024.

As far as the breakdown of the new pricing goes, a monthly subscription to the standard EA Play membership – which includes unlimited access to a collection of EA titles to play as well as 10 hours of included, early play of select new release games – has gone up from $6.95 to $8.95, while the discounted yearly subscription has jumped from $39.95 to $59.95.

For the PC-exclusive EA Play Pro subscription – which includes unlimited access to early new release and premium editions of a library of EA games – prices are going up from $19.95 a month to $24.95 a month, and from $129.95 a year to $159.95 a year.

Perhaps EA can use some of that extra cash to take the Dead Space series off ice (again)?
