Thanks to the internet super sleuths at Reddit, combined with a dash of carelessness from Major Nelson, it’s looking increasingly likely that music streaming giant Spotify might finally be on its way to Xbox, after years of PlayStation exclusivity.
The Verge claims to know of sources familiar to both Microsoft and Spotify who claim the app is currently being tested internally.
Sony’s partnership with Spotify dates back to 2015, though Spotify never ruled out coming to other consoles down the road. With these developments, it definitely appears that the times are changing.
Hopefully an official confirmation isn’t too far away.
