The Information is reporting that Microsoft is interested in purchasing the games division of Warner Bros to bolster its Xbox line-up ahead of the release of the Xbox Series X. Other publishers who are interested include Take Two, EA and Activision Blizzard.
Currently, Warner Bros Interactive is owned by AT&T (a Telco) but the giant wants to part ways with Warner Bros to help alleviate some debt.
Warner Bros currently have some of the best-selling franchises in its stable including Batman, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Mortal Kombat.
