Halo: The Master Chief Collection Is Getting Serious Improvements On Xbox Series X

Although Halo Infinite won’t be present for the launch of Xbox Series X, that doesn’t mean there aren’t going to be new experiences for the Master Chief. Well, sort of.

It’s been confirmed this morning that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be getting a serious workover for the Xbox Series X and S, with a new much more optimised version of the game said to run the game’s campaign and multiplayer at 120FPS.

On the Xbox Series X, it’s also been noted that the game will run “up to 4K”.

As confirmed in the above tweet from Xbox, the game will include improvements to split-screen while Microsoft’s own Aaron Greenberg chimed in to note adjustable FOV and cross-generational play would also feature in the improved collection.

And of course, as it was before, all of these improvements come as a free, added extra for anyone subscribed to Xbox Game Pass.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s optimised version is set to roll out on Xbox Series X on November 17, a week after the console launches on November 10.
