Although we didn’t get to see a whole lot of the game, Todd Howard did confirm a number of things in the brief that preceded the trailer and in subsequent interviews. Starfield is set three hundred years in the future and is most similar to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in terms of how it’s structured as a game.
They’ve paid particular attention to making the world feel lived-in this time around with several factions in play, including the main one Constellation. Howard also confirmed that, despite rumours, Tom Cruise will not feature in the game.
