Hellblade II

Here’s A New Look At Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II

Following an incredibly impactful showing at The Game Awards almost two years ago, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is looking like one of the first games on Xbox that will look truly next-gen. But its absence at the showcase really gave the impression it might be far away.

The latest update from developer Ninja Theory only seemed to confirm that observation, as at the Extended Xbox Showcase overnight, the UK-based developer showed off the latest behind-the-scenes look at the game in a meaty ViDoc.

In the video, it’s said that the team is hard at work creating a good chunk of the game as a vertical slice before moving into full production. The commitment to realism seems unreal – they’ve not only travelled to Iceland to capture the games setting as authentically as possible, but they’ve also built costumes to scan in to the game for some ultimate realism.

It’s not gameplay but rather a look at everything the team is doing behind the scenes to bring Senua’s Saga to life.
