Xbox Has Officially Announced The New Stellar Shift Wireless Controller

Looks Stellar.

Update: Xbox has now officially unveiled this new controller colourway, which launches locally on February 21st.

Interestingly, the company has revealed that plugging the Stellar Shift controller into your Xbox Series X|S console will also immediately grant you this gorgeous, cosmic dynamic background:

So far only JB Hi-Fi and EB have made the Stellar Shift controller available for pre-order but we’ll keep updating this as more comes:

The existence of a new Xbox Wireless Controller variant has leaked, first spotted by the legendary billbil-kun (who’s responsible for those rock-solid PlayStation Plus Essentials leaks every month).

Dubbed “Stellar Shift” the controller looks to be a new, purplish hue of the gorgeous Lunar Shift controller that Xbox released last year. The idea is the same in that it “changes colour with light and motion” and features a swirling pattern on its grips.

The info has come from Amazon Italy, where the controller is currently still live and shows a release date of February 14th, but pricing and release information for local regions has not yet been announced. We’d expect to know more once Xbox makes an official announcement of the Stellar Shift controller itself.

At least one punter already has the controller in-hand as well, as seen in a response to the tweet revealing the Stellar Shift Xbox Wireless Controller:

Nine months after it was initially released, the Deep Pink Xbox Wireless Controller is also finally set to hit ANZ stores on February 10th.
