Xbox Is Releasing Two New Elite Series 2 Core Controller Colours

Red vs Blue

The folks over at the Xbox controller division must be smashing their KPIs at the moment because here we are again with not one but two new colourways, this time for the Elite Series 2 Core Controller (the cheaper one that doesn’t come with all of the doodads and knickknacks).

In a striking new red or blue body, these are the same Elite Series 2 Core that previously released in white, with all of the regular Elite Series 2 features sans the separately-sold Component Pack that retails for $79.95. These new colours also cost a very slight $10 more than the white version, at $199.95.

The Elite Series 2 Core red and blue versions are set to release locally on April 28th, and they’re both available to pre-order now at local retailers. As usual, you can technically create your own red and blue elite controllers in Xbox Design Lab, if you want to, but it’s a more expensive route.

Just don’t go taking your old black or white Elite Series 2 into EB Games to trade in, they’ve stopped accepting them.
