Xbox Design Lab Has Added New Elite Series 2 Colour Options

Xbox has announced that it’s added a brand-new selection of colours to its growing controller customisation options in the Xbox Design Lab, specifically a bunch of snazzy new options for the Elite Series 2 wireless controller.

The new colours cover a range of hues from pastel-ish blues and purples to deep pinks and reds, with names like Storm Grey, Nocturnal Green and Glacier Blue. There are also new button and accent colours like black-out ABXY buttons. Xbox is also continuing to showcase Inspired By customisations that highlight designs inspired by big new game titles like Minecraft Legends, The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom and the recently-released Destiny 2: Lightfall.

It brings the total options for the Elite Series 2 wireless controller to 16 main colours for the top and back case, 12 colours for the ABXY buttons, 17 different accent colours for the paddles and D-pad, and 25 accent colours for the rest of the controller.

Recently, Xbox also announced a new standard Xbox Wireless Controller variant made from one-third recycled materials and packing a snazzy design along with an included Xbox Rechargeable battery, dubbed the Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition.

The controller is constructed from post-consumer recycled resins made with regrind, the process of turning things like CDs, plastic jugs and even old Xbox One-generation parts into raw materials to be used to create new products. The design features earthy tones and pops of colour on the d-pad and bumpers with inspiration from the Pacific Northwest Forest.
