It was bound to happen, and like any highly-anticipated AAA release, Bethesda’s upcoming space-faring RPG epic Starfield has managed to make its way into the hands of at least one player early, who’s subsequently taken to social media to share footage of the game.
Not just snippets either, but a full 40 minutes of the opening of Starfield has already appeared on various social platforms. We won’t share or link to any of it for obvious reasons, and Bethesda is seemingly catching new uploads of said footage pretty quickly and having them taken down, but it’s out there for you to find/hopefully avoid entirely over a full week before the game’s early access launch and a whole two weeks ahead of its wider release date.
It comes not long after a leak of Starfield’s title screen that then became the subject of Gamer™ discourse when a former Blizzard developer decided to share their unsolicited and unhinged opinion of it – even causing Bethesda’s Head of Publishing Pete Hines to step in.
Or they designed what they wanted and that’s been our menu for years and was one of the first things we settled on.
Having an opinion is one thing. Questioning out a developer’s “care” because you would have done it different is highly unprofessional coming from another “dev”
