Starfield Is Available Now On Xbox Game Pass

Update: It’s here! Bethesda’s new blockbuster sci-fi RPG, Starfield, is officially available to buy now as a Standard Edition or download and play via Xbox Game Pass.

For those that have managed to wait patiently for the cheapest way to get into Bethesda’s new blockbuster space-faring RPG while their friends and mutuals dropped cash on various special editions to play over the weekend – well done. Your time has finally arrived. You can load up Starfield into your Game Pass library right here.

With Starfield right around the corner on September 6th (or this Friday, September 1st for those buying into any of the early access editions), Bethesda has shared a graphic highlighting exactly when folks around the world will be able to get started on their adventures in space.

Excitingly, rather than make Aussies playing the game digitally wait for the rest of the world’s timezones to catch up, the game will be launching a touch earlier in North and South America in a way that means all of the world will be playing by midday on launch day. For those in Australia, it’s a 10AM AEST launch which means that whether you’re buying the game digitally, playing it through Game Pass or picking up a physical copy in stores there shouldn’t be too much of a discrepancy.

Here’s how it all shakes out across the country and over in the NZ:

WHEN DOES STARFIELD LAUNCH IN AUSTRALIA?

The below times apply to early access players on September 1st and everyone else on September 6th. Preloading for the game has already begun so you can be ready to play as soon as these times hit:

  • 10.00 AM AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
  • 9.30 AM (Adelaide, Darwin)
  • 8.00 AM (Perth)
  • 12.00 PM (Wellington)

WHEN DO STARFIELD REVIEWS GO LIVE?

Reviews for Starfield will begin to go live at outlets across the globe on Friday, September 1st at 2AM AEST.

This is the earliest that we can publish a review, and although this is going to be an enormous game we will endeavour for it to be a full review on that date.
