Update 10:49: Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Live services and sign-in should now be up and running as usual, following an outage that lasted more than six hours. At the time of writing, the Xbox status page still shows a major outage in progress, so some things may still be wonky, but it seems that for the most part everything is back to normal!
Users should no longer be encountering issues signing in to Xbox Live and services. Thank you for your patience, game on! https://t.co/jw7EOmyyoL

You’re not alone if you’ve tried to log onto your Xbox console, Xbox Cloud Gaming or the Xbox App for PC and been met with errors and blank pages. The service is currently suffering a major outage and Microsoft is continuing to investigate.
According to Down Detector and Xbox’s own status page, the issues have been going since about 4AM and the most recent update from Microsoft simply states that a fix is “taking longer than expected.”
The issue looks to be with Xbox’s user sign-in service, which is naturally critical to performing most functions. The status page message reads, “You may not be able to sign-in to your Xbox profile, may be disconnected while signed in, or have other related problems. Features that require sign-in like most games, apps and social activity won’t be available.”
We are aware that some users have been disconnected from Xbox Live. We're investigating! Please follow here and on our status page for updates. https://t.co/kQKp1MgssY
