The first round of beta access for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is about to begin, with a PlayStation-only early beta kicking off this weekend.
The MW3 multiplayer open beta will include a selection maps from the 16 updated Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps launching with the game, plus new Ground War content. There’ll be two beta weekends in total, with the first weekend exclusive to players on PS5 and PS4 and the second weekend opening things up to Xbox and PC with cross-play available.
How To Get Into The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta Early
There will be two phases of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer beta across two weekends, with earlier access going to those who’ve pre-ordered the game. The beta will open up later for absolutely anybody to download and play, but if you’re hoping to get a head start you’ll need to pre-order MW3 either from a digital storefront or in-store.

When Is The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta Happening In Australia?
Early access on both weekends of the beta will go to those who pre-order the game, with the rest of the world able to join in a couple of days later. PlayStation players will also have early access on the second beta weekend regardless of whether they’ve pre-ordered the game. It’s honestly needlessly confusing but here’s how that all breaks down in local times (made all the more confusing by the introduction of daylight savings):

Weekend One – PlayStation Only Open Beta
